Sarah + Cameron I Athens, OH July Wedding

Sarah and Cameron are the most loving, giving couple ever! They are so welcome and friendly to everyone around them and their wedding day was no different. So much love in the room!

They chose Stuart's Opera House as their ceremony and reception venue. Stuart's just underwent a major renovation and expanded their lobby and it looked amazing. I was excited to photograph the first wedding in the new space, and I'm sure Sarah and Cameron were excited to have this lovely new room for their celebration!

After squeezing in some family formals on the side of the building, I took the newlyweds out front for some photos in the main square, and then it was time for them to greet their guests and enjoy their party. Cameron owns Devil's Kettle Brewing in Athens (stop by and give him your business!), so of course there was great beer for their guests and the food was also amazing. Each table had a different bouquet of flowers and the decor was perfect.

I have so much admiration for Sarah and Cameron and my husband and I look forward to seeing them again the next time we're enjoying Athens! Lots of love and congratulations to you both!

Lindell Family I Summer Mini Session

It was such a joy to be able to photograph the Lindell family again! I photographed baby Andrew when he was only three weeks old, and he's grown so much in the months since I've seen him. He was such a happy, sweet baby and was smiling the entire time from the moment we got to the park. Mama sat out this time because she just recently had photos taken with Andrew, so it was all about Dad and baby this session!

This was such a humid day (the weather has been so rainy and muggy lately) but thankfully Glen Echo Ravine offers a lot of shade. It's such a beautiful park.

Thanks again to the Lindell family! Enjoy!

Roberts Family I Summer Portrait Session

A 2014 bride of mine referred me to Lauren, who was searching for a family photographer! She and her family travelled from all over the country for a weekend together here in Columbus, and they wanted to take the opportunity to have some portraits done, especially with two little grandkids in the mix.

Their Airbnb was in Italian Village, so we walked the block or so to Italian Village Park and found a spot there. I snapped different family combinations for a lot of variety and of course, had to capture some images of the babies (which are amazing, by the way... best outtake ever, which I just had to include).

Thanks again to the Roberts family for this fun session! Enjoy!

Trinity's Summer Senior Session I Columbus, OH

Trinity is an amazing woman! She did such a great job at her session. We began on Pearl Street in downtown Columbus, visited the Ohio Statehouse grounds, and finished at the Columbus Commons (the carousel! So fun!) She's a 2018 senior, a soccer captain at her school, and is still trying to decide between two colleges. Wherever she chooses, I know she will do well!

Congratulations Trinity!

Kate + Kris I Columbus, OH June Wedding

Kate and Kris are friends of my sister-in-law, and I was so glad when they reached out about photographing their wedding! They kept their Thursday ceremony to family only, and it was held at Frank Fetch Park in German Village. We couldn't have asked for better weather. Side note: Kate definitely did not cry. At all. :)

Their reception followed the next day at North Bank Park Pavilion in downtown Columbus, where a larger group of friends were also invited. It was a great crowd (as in, amazing dancers) and was so fun to photograph. North Bank Park has an amazing view of downtown Columbus, and seeing the sun set on the skyline was amazing. Thanks to my "assistants" who helped light some night portraits of Kate and Kris against that skyline :)

Congratulations again to the lovely couple! xoxo

Tanya + Brad I Columbus, OH May Wedding

Where to start... this was such a beautiful day! Tanya and Brad chose Our Lady of Victory for their ceremony and Pinnacle Golf Club for their reception. I started the day alongside the couple at Pinnacle as they got dressed and ready for their first look under the archway off the reception hall. We were able to take a lot of family photos there at that beautiful spot and then made our way to the church!

After their ceremony finished, we took the opportunity for some family photos at the altar, and then made our way back to Pinnacle so the couple could enjoy their reception. We finished up with a few more family, bridal party and newlyweds images there (I absolutely love the images of the couple and bridal party under the walkway near Pinnacle's entrance... look for them in the gallery!)

Congratulations to the happy couple. It was a beautiful day and a great celebration of love with their friends and family!

Emily + Anne I Xenia, OH May Wedding

Emily and Anne contacted me within just a few weeks of their wedding, and I'm so glad they did. They traveled from their current home to Anne's hometown of Xenia, Ohio, and chose a local little bookstore, Blue Jacket Books, as their unique venue location!

We were keeping an eye on the weather, but didn't have to worry - the day went perfectly. We managed to incorporate newlywed and family photos outside the building, while the guests enjoyed the space inside. It was really a beautiful wedding and an honor to witness and capture.

Thanks again to Emily and Anne and lots of love and congratulations to you both!

Vance Family I Spring Maternity + Family Session

Congratulations to the Vance family on their soon-to-be addition! I've photographed their family before and it was great to add a maternity session to the mix. We used a friend's farm as our backdrop and it worked out beautifully. We managed to get Lincoln to cooperate for some really cute 'reveal' images... Enjoy!

Justin + Chelsea I Brewery District Proposal

Justin and Chelsea are lovely! Justin reached out to me to photograph his surprise proposal to Chelsea. They had designed her ring together at a local Worthington jeweler, so she knew it was coming, but just didn't know when! Thinking she was going out to dinner with her girlfriends, Justin appeared in a suit and tie and she had the best reaction ever. See for yourself!

Wishing Justin and Chelsea lots of love and happiness!

Jody + Jen I Columbus, OH March Wedding

Jody and Jen's wedding celebration was an honor to be a part of!

We started the day with posed family and bridal portraits on the skywalk bridge between the Hilton and Columbus Convention Center, which is such a cool architectural setting. From there we moved onto their venue of Studio 35! You might remember from a previous post that Studio 35 is a Clintonville landmark and a converted movie theater/bar. It's a great spot for those looking for a unique wedding location.

Congratulations to the newlyweds! Enjoy!

Britt Family I Spring Mini Session

I was thrilled when Amy reached out for another family mini! They fit their family of four perfectly... you never know when a toddler will cooperate :) We managed to fit this session in right before Aaron deployed, and I'm so glad I could capture them as a family before he left.

Scioto Audubon Metro Park is a beautiful place to visit in the spring! Enjoy!

Kevin I Columbus, OH Corporate Portrait Session

When my brother Kevin asked me about a corporate session, we both thought a coffee shop would work perfectly! That led us to Roosevelt Coffeehouse, which is a great spot local to downtown Columbus. They are a "nonprofit coffeehouse with a charitable mission" and they make killer lattes (very important)! I'm all about supporting small businesses whenever I can, being a local Columbus business myself. Thanks for this session Kevin!

Molly I Columbus, OH Senior Session

Molly rocked her senior session, which just so happened to fall on her 18th birthday! We started in the studio with several combinations of outfits and backdrops, and it was so nice outside (February in Ohio, who knew) that we decided to head outside to Franklin Park for a few extra images at the end.

Congratulations to this beautiful 2017 Springfield senior!

Kevin + Emily I Headshot + Portrait Session

I had so much fun photographing headshots and portraits for my brother Kevin and his girlfriend Emily! I set up my home studio for these shots and they turned out great. Kevin and Emily are heading off on a trip to Iceland this week (so jealous!) Have fun, you two!

Cody + Amy I Palace Theater Proposal

Proposal sessions are always so exciting! Cody approached me with a plan in mind to surprise Amy with a proposal after attending a show at the Palace Theater in downtown Columbus. She was definitely surprised :) Love and congratulations to the newlyweds!

Pandemonium4 I Capital University Headshot Session

Pandemonium4 is Capital University's flute quartet, and thanks to them for reaching out for a group headshot session! We kept things super simple and met in Huntington Recital Hall for a few quick images before their rehearsal. One member of the group also opted for a solo headshot, which turned out great! They perform often throughout Ohio and more information can be found on their Facebook page.

Cassidy + Jared I Columbus, OH Engagement Session

This was my last session of the year! Cassidy and Jared and I went to high school together, so I was glad when they got in touch for their engagement session. They now live in North Carolina, but we were able to squeeze the shoot in while they were in Columbus for Christmas! The weather cooperated and wasn't too cold, so it was perfect. They chose Frank Fetch Park in German Village as the starting point for their session, and we also walked around the surrounding area.

Thanks to all the German Village residents that put up beautiful Christmas decorations! They made beautiful backdrops :)

Congratulations to Cassidy and Jared!

Allison + Aimee I Columbus, OH December Wedding

Allison and Aimee's celebration was so unique! They chose Studio 35 Cinema and Drafthouse for their ceremony and reception, which is a very cool local spot in Clintonville. Their ceremony took place in the theater itself, with guests eating popcorn and sweets for the full "movie" experience. Trivia on the brides was up on the screen beforehand and a custom "trailer" played just before they walked down the aisle with clips from their favorite movies and love stories (think Princess Bride, Moulin Rouge, The Notebook... it was so sweet!)

We did some family and newlywed photos immediately afterward and then it was time for some reception fun! It took place in the main bar area, and people also could sit together in the theater, where were also games and toys out for kids. Food was provided by Pizza Primo, which is just a few doors down. Now for the dessert table - it was AMAZING. It was completely filled with cookies and donuts, and instead of cutting a cake, Allison and Aimee shared a donut. Their photobooth setup was great and thanks to Kalli for assisting with that!

Love and happiness to Allison and Aimee!
