I was so happy to photograph for the Conleys again! I shot their wedding in September of last year and was excited to be able to do a family session for them that was close to their anniversary date. Their son is so sweet and curious and I adore him! Jen used to work with my husband (and is friends with his older sister) and so we've known each other for a long time. We adore you guys! Thank you for this fun session! xoxo
When the Vances asked me to photograph the birth of their second child, I was totally floored and didn't really know what to expect. Being on call to photograph a birth is nerve wracking!!! I even brought my camera with me when I went to go watch the solar eclipse, because I had no clue when I would get the call... it turns out I had absolutely nothing to be worried about.
When the time came, I went to their home and within two hours, baby Evelyn was here! It was incredibly intense to watch Kaela's contractions get more and more painful and closer together, and then in a moment it was over and she had a baby in her arms. What an incredible thing to capture.
I photographed her again a few days ago for a newborn session and she has already grown so much in these first few weeks! It's wild how quickly they change. Robert and Kaela, she is beautiful. Congratulations again on your growing family, and thank you for trusting me to capture such an important moment in your lives!
Carly and Ben are such a sweet couple! It's easy to photograph when people are able to just be themselves in front of the camera and enjoy each other's company. They chose Grandview Heights as the location for their session, as they live in the area and it's where they had their first date (at Jeni's, as you'll see in the images!) We started at Wyman Woods and then worked our way through a few different locations off Grandview Avenue, and ended at Jeni's where they had a little ice cream date.
Thanks to Carly and Ben! I'm looking forward to photographing your wedding in February.
It was so nice to meet Sheryl and Josh! A family member of theirs gave them this session as a gift so Sheryl could have some maternity images taken before her (their!) rainbow baby is born in just a few weeks. This was a joy to photograph! I hope their little one comes into this world happy and healthy.
All my best to your family, Sheryl and Josh!
Congratulations to our friends Jess and Hyde on their sweet baby girl! It was amazing to get to capture Rae in her first few days. She did such a good job while we poked and prodded her and kept changing her outfit :) I know she will grow so fast and I hope you'll hold these images dear to your heart. We love your little family! Congratulations again!
I was so honored that Chelsea and Hayden wanted me to travel to Maine to photograph for them! Chelsea is my best friend's little sister, and being able to stay with the family in their Lake Maranacook cabin was amazing. They really treated me like a member of the family (I love you guys!) Being able to have coffee on the dock every morning was so nice... I wish I could start every day like that. :)
While the groom and all the guys on the trip were off on the boat for the afternoon the day before the wedding, the bride and all the girls went to a nearby farm to pick flowers for their bouquets. This was such a good idea, and a really good thing for all the girls to be able to do together! It was a win win win; I was able to capture photos of them getting their flowers, they supported a local Maine business, and the bouquets looked gorgeous.
We had beautiful weather before and after the wedding day but of course, it rained the day of! Hey, that's good luck, right? The morning of, the venue was switched from Camp KV to Chelsea and Hayden's rental cabin there on the lake. It was beautiful and they made the decision to switch early enough in the day that we had plenty of time to set everything up there in the yard. It worked out perfectly and looked beautiful!
Chelsea handpainted every single buoy in their colors, including miniature versions with guests' names so they could find their seat! She literally thought of every detail. It being a Maine wedding, everyone got a 'How to Eat a Lobster' place setting with a lobster cracker! I could go on and on about how much I loved the tablescapes and all the details, but I think the images will speak for themselves.
Lots and lots of love and congratulations to the newlyweds, Chelsea and Hayden! Enjoy :)
Sarah and Cameron are the most loving, giving couple ever! They are so welcome and friendly to everyone around them and their wedding day was no different. So much love in the room!
They chose Stuart's Opera House as their ceremony and reception venue. Stuart's just underwent a major renovation and expanded their lobby and it looked amazing. I was excited to photograph the first wedding in the new space, and I'm sure Sarah and Cameron were excited to have this lovely new room for their celebration!
After squeezing in some family formals on the side of the building, I took the newlyweds out front for some photos in the main square, and then it was time for them to greet their guests and enjoy their party. Cameron owns Devil's Kettle Brewing in Athens (stop by and give him your business!), so of course there was great beer for their guests and the food was also amazing. Each table had a different bouquet of flowers and the decor was perfect.
I have so much admiration for Sarah and Cameron and my husband and I look forward to seeing them again the next time we're enjoying Athens! Lots of love and congratulations to you both!

It was such a joy to be able to photograph the Lindell family again! I photographed baby Andrew when he was only three weeks old, and he's grown so much in the months since I've seen him. He was such a happy, sweet baby and was smiling the entire time from the moment we got to the park. Mama sat out this time because she just recently had photos taken with Andrew, so it was all about Dad and baby this session!
This was such a humid day (the weather has been so rainy and muggy lately) but thankfully Glen Echo Ravine offers a lot of shade. It's such a beautiful park.
Thanks again to the Lindell family! Enjoy!
A 2014 bride of mine referred me to Lauren, who was searching for a family photographer! She and her family travelled from all over the country for a weekend together here in Columbus, and they wanted to take the opportunity to have some portraits done, especially with two little grandkids in the mix.
Their Airbnb was in Italian Village, so we walked the block or so to Italian Village Park and found a spot there. I snapped different family combinations for a lot of variety and of course, had to capture some images of the babies (which are amazing, by the way... best outtake ever, which I just had to include).
Thanks again to the Roberts family for this fun session! Enjoy!
Trinity is an amazing woman! She did such a great job at her session. We began on Pearl Street in downtown Columbus, visited the Ohio Statehouse grounds, and finished at the Columbus Commons (the carousel! So fun!) She's a 2018 senior, a soccer captain at her school, and is still trying to decide between two colleges. Wherever she chooses, I know she will do well!
Kate and Kris are friends of my sister-in-law, and I was so glad when they reached out about photographing their wedding! They kept their Thursday ceremony to family only, and it was held at Frank Fetch Park in German Village. We couldn't have asked for better weather. Side note: Kate definitely did not cry. At all. :)
Their reception followed the next day at North Bank Park Pavilion in downtown Columbus, where a larger group of friends were also invited. It was a great crowd (as in, amazing dancers) and was so fun to photograph. North Bank Park has an amazing view of downtown Columbus, and seeing the sun set on the skyline was amazing. Thanks to my "assistants" who helped light some night portraits of Kate and Kris against that skyline :)
Congratulations again to the lovely couple! xoxo
Where to start... this was such a beautiful day! Tanya and Brad chose Our Lady of Victory for their ceremony and Pinnacle Golf Club for their reception. I started the day alongside the couple at Pinnacle as they got dressed and ready for their first look under the archway off the reception hall. We were able to take a lot of family photos there at that beautiful spot and then made our way to the church!
After their ceremony finished, we took the opportunity for some family photos at the altar, and then made our way back to Pinnacle so the couple could enjoy their reception. We finished up with a few more family, bridal party and newlyweds images there (I absolutely love the images of the couple and bridal party under the walkway near Pinnacle's entrance... look for them in the gallery!)
Congratulations to the happy couple. It was a beautiful day and a great celebration of love with their friends and family!

Emily and Anne contacted me within just a few weeks of their wedding, and I'm so glad they did. They traveled from their current home to Anne's hometown of Xenia, Ohio, and chose a local little bookstore, Blue Jacket Books, as their unique venue location!
We were keeping an eye on the weather, but didn't have to worry - the day went perfectly. We managed to incorporate newlywed and family photos outside the building, while the guests enjoyed the space inside. It was really a beautiful wedding and an honor to witness and capture.
Thanks again to Emily and Anne and lots of love and congratulations to you both!
Congratulations to the Vance family on their soon-to-be addition! I've photographed their family before and it was great to add a maternity session to the mix. We used a friend's farm as our backdrop and it worked out beautifully. We managed to get Lincoln to cooperate for some really cute 'reveal' images... Enjoy!
Justin and Chelsea are lovely! Justin reached out to me to photograph his surprise proposal to Chelsea. They had designed her ring together at a local Worthington jeweler, so she knew it was coming, but just didn't know when! Thinking she was going out to dinner with her girlfriends, Justin appeared in a suit and tie and she had the best reaction ever. See for yourself!
Wishing Justin and Chelsea lots of love and happiness!
Jody and Jen's wedding celebration was an honor to be a part of!
We started the day with posed family and bridal portraits on the skywalk bridge between the Hilton and Columbus Convention Center, which is such a cool architectural setting. From there we moved onto their venue of Studio 35! You might remember from a previous post that Studio 35 is a Clintonville landmark and a converted movie theater/bar. It's a great spot for those looking for a unique wedding location.
Congratulations to the newlyweds! Enjoy!
Venue: Studio 35
I was thrilled when Amy reached out for another family mini! They fit their family of four perfectly... you never know when a toddler will cooperate :) We managed to fit this session in right before Aaron deployed, and I'm so glad I could capture them as a family before he left.
Scioto Audubon Metro Park is a beautiful place to visit in the spring! Enjoy!
