I was so honored that Chelsea and Hayden wanted me to travel to Maine to photograph for them! Chelsea is my best friend's little sister, and being able to stay with the family in their Lake Maranacook cabin was amazing. They really treated me like a member of the family (I love you guys!) Being able to have coffee on the dock every morning was so nice... I wish I could start every day like that. :)
While the groom and all the guys on the trip were off on the boat for the afternoon the day before the wedding, the bride and all the girls went to a nearby farm to pick flowers for their bouquets. This was such a good idea, and a really good thing for all the girls to be able to do together! It was a win win win; I was able to capture photos of them getting their flowers, they supported a local Maine business, and the bouquets looked gorgeous.
We had beautiful weather before and after the wedding day but of course, it rained the day of! Hey, that's good luck, right? The morning of, the venue was switched from Camp KV to Chelsea and Hayden's rental cabin there on the lake. It was beautiful and they made the decision to switch early enough in the day that we had plenty of time to set everything up there in the yard. It worked out perfectly and looked beautiful!
Chelsea handpainted every single buoy in their colors, including miniature versions with guests' names so they could find their seat! She literally thought of every detail. It being a Maine wedding, everyone got a 'How to Eat a Lobster' place setting with a lobster cracker! I could go on and on about how much I loved the tablescapes and all the details, but I think the images will speak for themselves.
Lots and lots of love and congratulations to the newlyweds, Chelsea and Hayden! Enjoy :)
