Jennica and Tyler’s intimate, micro wedding was the perfect way to begin our 2021 season. The couple chose The Bonner Barn at Powell’s Ohio Wildlife Center as their all-in-one venue. Jennica got ready in the loft and we were also able to capture some images of groom Tyler in the main barn space as well, all while making sure the two didn’t see each other. Once ready, their first look took place outside. Tyler’s reaction to Jennica’s gorgeous dress was so sweet! Their ceremony was full of beautiful moments and I love the image of them during their recessional as happy newlyweds. Family formals followed, and then newlywed images (my favorite!) We also took time for bridal details, both at the beginning of the day and after the cold ended our outdoor newlywed images. I love the detail of the rings against their invitation and the sprigs of baby’s breath we borrowed from one of their tables.
Jennica and Tyler were all about their images representing the moments of their day and having images of their loved ones together. We photographed their guests celebrating and simply being together, which was a welcome break from the past year of this pandemic. We couldn’t have asked for a better first wedding of 2021.
No dancing had been planned, but Tyler and his mom had a little impromptu mother-son dance, as well as Jennica with her father. The images of those moments will make for sweet memories for years to come! Jennica’s brother and Tyler’s sister each gave a toast, and they were so well done. The couple cut their beautiful cake, cupcakes were set out for their guests, and that concluded our wedding coverage! All in all, it was a beautiful day, and proof that a micro wedding can be everything a couple dreamed and more.
